Credit Equivalents
New Zealand Institute of Management (NZIM)
NZIM Enterprise Certificate in Mangaement Paper 807 = Financial LIteracy Programme
FLP can be direct credited to NZIM's Certificate in Management, Paper 807. Students can gain 10 credit equivalents at Level 2 towards NCEA through this direct credit.
The Enterprise Certificate in Management is designed specifically for secondary students although it may also be offered at tertiary instututions.
It is part of the staircase of qualifications offered by NZIM, and is the school-based version of the NZIM Certificate in Mangaement.
It comprises 8 papers, 4 of which are compulsory.
Paper 807 Introduction to Financial Services (an optionpaper) s offered only through Enterprise New Zealand Trust's "Pathways to Financial LIteracy" programme.
Two conditions apply in order for the programme to be offeded as paper 807.
The classroom time allocated must be no less than 60 hours.
The student must show sufficient competence in the ten modules to make lifestyle decisions based on the module concepts.
This enables FLP teachers to demonstrate to their principals and curriculum committees that the FLP programme feeds into a recognised qualification.
