Secondary Financial Education

What is Financial Education?
Financial Education is designed to develop a financially literate person. A financially literate person has the ability to make informed judgements and effective decisions about the use and management of money.

Financial Education
The ability to manage money is an essential life skill for all kiwis regardless of their age. Young Enterprise Trust's school-based programmes and activities raise awareness and provide practical opportunities for students to take part in financial decision making, and develop money management capability. Taking an opportunity cost approach, students consider a range of financial options and make the best choice for their personal circumstances. Students acquire knowledge and skills, and recognise their own values in the process of building personal financial understanding.
